Things Are Not Always As They Seem

"...I was glad to help! Thank you for calling the *un-named company* Help Desk. Have a wonderful day." The polite voice speaks calmly and kindly. The professionalism has a helpful smile behind it, indicating a curteous office environment for the caller.

The sun is preparing to rise behind the trees while the computer screen lights up the office walls. It throws a candecent glow over the room. She types and works from screen to screen. She sits sleepily, wearing a pink flannel robe over a t-shirt and shorts. The house shoes keep the early morning chill away. The unshaven legs and messy bun in her hair completes the look of "Frumpy Housewife". She leans over a mass of pink pillow and blankets in her lap while she works. Occasionally the mass wiggles. Occasionally she moves one hand down from the computer to pat the pink mound in her lap for a bit. Inside the layers of pink pillow and blankets, a little baby busily sucks on a pacifier. Another call comes in and she goes about her help desk work, helping the caller with a smile and a professional, curteous voice. The irony of the situation produces some humor that, unfortunatly, she has no one to share with... For alas, both baby and caller are blissfully unaware that the other exists.

Funny! I'd like to fast forward this blog to a few months later when said occasionally wiggly mass of pink pillow and blankets discovers a voice and various other body parts - and how to use them! LOL!!
