Rising Waters

I don't know if you've been watching the news or checking it online lately, but there is flooding going on around the world. My thoughts and prayers have been full of intersession for the people who are being affected by this. This photo is of some of the flooding here in Florida from tropical storm Fay. The water is still high and rising.

Here's another picture. This one is from Haiti. Over 180 people have been killed from flooding there. The Caribbean continues to get more rain.

And here's another one from India where monsoon rains caused the Kosi river to overflow its banks. One million people are homeless. One million people. Homeless. It amazes me how little we hear about this here in America. One article I read indicated that the dispair that this flooding has brought to people has in turn spiked the child trafficking in India. This type of calamity has long lasting effects on people's lives.
Don't feel bad that you are safe. Don't turn away because it makes you uncomfortable. If you don't know what to do, put your passion into prayer. Please join me in prayer by lifting up those around the world who need the embrace of a loving Savior, who need to know that they are valuable and not forgotten. HE answers prayer.
