Mommy Play Time vs. Papa Play Time
MOMMY PLAY TIME
With Two Year Old: Sitting on the floor stacking blocks. Learning colors. Recognizing letter and numbers. Reading a book while snuggling. Coloring tidily at the play table. Drawing lines and circles. Smiles and "Yeah!" are often seen and heard.
With Ten Month Old: Holding hands while learning to walk. Mimicking sounds. Making faces. Learning to clap. Reaching for objects. Passing them from one hand to another. Playing peek-a-boo. Smiles and coos are often seen and heard.
PAPA PLAY TIME
With Two Year Old: Pulling the mattress off the bed and throwing it in the middle of the floor, tossing the sheets everywhere. Climbing onto tables, sofas, and chairs. Jumping from aforementioned tables, sofas, and chairs with the most height possible and landing onto mattress. Perfecting the high jump landing so that the roll off the mattress will subsequently knock over everything else that was previously left standing in the room. Much laughter and "I did it!" are heard.
With Ten Month Old: Tossing pillows at her while sitting until she falls over and giggles with delight at being knocked over. Holding her upside down by her ankles in front of Papa's face until she grins with recognition. Tossing and flipping her into the air like a roller coaster ride while she laughs out loud with glee. Arm and leg flapping with excitement are often seen.
Ahhhh... the beauty of the difference between the Mommas and the Papas. :)
